Hi there! today i’m sharing a shaker card with you, using one of my new favourite stamp sets from Avery Elle.. It’s called ‘let’s seal-abrate’ and features two really cute seals (one in a party hat’ sentiment, and some added extras- a little drum for the seals to perch on, a tiny little cupcake, and a ball.
I stamped both seals in momento ink, and the drum and six balls in impress inks (tangerine and cherry blossom) , ran them through my Scan N cut, and coloured using copics.
I then made my card front by trimming a piece of cardstock slightly smaller than the 5.5 x 4.25 ” card base , and die cutting a circle out of the top.
I used my sizzix framelits circle, but any circle the right size would do…
whilst the die cutting machine was out, I cut the next size upcircle out of a patterned paper, and an acetate circle using the same die.
using grey impress ink, I stamped the sentiment towards the bottom of the front piece, added a strip of washi, and set aside.
I then coloured up my seals, drum, and balls, and laid out how I wanted it to go, before adhering. the balls and some sequins float free, the drum and seals are stuck down.
I added 3d Foam tape around the very edge of the patterned paper circle, and laid out the sequins and balls. I then popped the acetate on top, and made sure it was sealed (haha) the whole way round, before adhering with strong tape to the card , making sure to line it up properly.
I then added some more foam tape to the edges of this cardstock, and stuck it to my card blank.
easy peasy and so cute too!
