Mr Mister – Joy fold card tutorial

Hi again! this is the second tutorial of the day, yet again based on the Docrafts Mr Mister Range, and perfect for Father’s day!

this card is a joyfold card , and I’ve seen lots of different versions of this around lately, so wanted to give it my own spin!

to make this card you will need-

1 piece of cardstock 8 1/2 ” x 4 1/4″

1 piece cardstock 8″ x 3″

one paper 5 1/4 x 4 1/8 ”

one paper 2 3/4″ x 4″

three papers 4″ x 2 3/4

diecut heart from X cut nesting heart dies

Mr Mister clear stamps

take your largest piece of cardstock , and score at 5 1/2 ”

burnish with your bone folder, and set aside.

take your smaller piece of cardstock and score at 4″. burnish this with your bone folder as well.

on the larger piece of cardstock, adhere the  5 1/4 x 4 1/8 patterned paper to the inside (largest side) and one of your 4″ x 2 3/4 paper pieces to the outer of the short scored end.

with the fold of the smaller cardstock on the right hand side, adhere a piece of patterned paper to the inside, and outside of the card.

adhere the smaller card, to the  centre or the larger card (inside panel where you added the patterned paper)

stamp and fussy cut the ‘best dad’ sentiment from the clear stamp set, and adhere to the outside of this card, in the centre. use 3D foam pads to pop it up from the card base.

on kraft card, diecut the second smallest heart from your xcut nesting heart dies and stamp on the ‘you’re the greatest’ sentiment. adhere to the edge of the left side of the card, on the LEFT side only- this is to tuck in the smaller panel.

as a final step, In white cardstock, I diecut the smallest x cut rectangle parenthesis die , and added it to the inner of the card, for the message to be written.

I hope you enjoy this card, and feel like giving it a go! if you do, I’d love to see !

all the papers, dies and stamps used to create this card were purchased from Docrafts.
