Hey there everyone! it’s a lovely spring afternoon here in Rutland, UK and I’ve had my tunes on all day whilst I craft and network my card making business. I wanted to share with you the card I just finished today, that I coloured up earlier this week with my copics.
I had absolutely no clue what I was going to make my husband from the children for fathers day this year, but found the perfect image whilst I was looking at something else. I love it when that happens, as it does save on total frustration. there are so many amazing stamp companies out there that sometimes you can look for hours, and have to compile a short list! however, as I’d already just finished the baseball boots card by just inklined (which in a backwards way, I will try to get on my blog tomorrow) , I decided to go straight in to the second boots card using a pair of planted up gardening boots digi from their site, with a similar layout!
the main reason for doing this today, was that I was waiting on my cardstock delivery , and as it arrived nice and early, I got it done this morning before having to do some less fun work, and the dreaded housework!
I used some lovely mocha coloured cardstock ,and papers from the gorgeous ‘stella and rose’ paper pack from My Minds eye inc , which I inked round the edges with Tea dye distress ink to give a slightly more earthy tone.
I also added a sentiment that I made myself using one of my current favourite fonts, some twine, a couple of brads, and photo corner diecuts.
I hope you like it, and I hope that he will too! (especially after the chaos that ensued, trying to get my ‘staging’ back in the packet… OOPS he won’t notice that I lost half of them, as I hoovered after 😉
I’d love to enter this card in the following challenges:
