Rose Bloom A6 Greetings Card

Today, I created an A6 Birthday card РI recently added a new distress ink colour to my collection, and thought it would go beautifully with one of the others. So I teamed the New inkpad (picked raspberry) with my favourite peacock feathers on this card.

The main feature is a diecut rose shape, which I cut, inked and popped up with dimensional tape, and also a couple of diecut leaves which I nestled under it. The background was created by inking through a diecut Tim Holtz strip die and adding a stripe of diagonal pattern washi tape on top. – I saved the diecut and now rather inky piece for another card. Waste not, want not!

The stamps for the sentiment were from two different companies – the Birthday clear stamp was given to me at the Hochanda stall at The crafting at Alexandra Palace show last year, and the ‘enjoy your’ stamp comes from the ‘Aloha’ set by Clearly Besotted. I lined them up on my card and used my hampton art stamp press to stamp them onto the card.

The top panel is popped up with foam tape, and below I have used both sides of a designer paper piece from a My Minds Eye paper pack.

embellishments are from queen and Company.

I created the A6 sized card base myself from White Cardstock- as a side fold which is a bit unusual for me, as I’m usually all about the portrait layout and top fold cards!

Hope you enjoy this bright and fun Birthday card!

until next time,
