ink fade card set

Hi there! because the spring has sprung, and flowers are everywhere in the countryside right now,  I decided I was going to make this little set of A6 greetings cards- very spring like in feel, using distress inks and embossed flowers using my favourite ink colours.

I got the background technique idea from Jennifer McGuire Ink (find her on youtube, her tutorials are amazing!)

with my own topping design. The ombre backgrounds were created using cut lawn, peacock feathers and seedless preserves distress inks. The flowers used were a set from The Works, and I created the top design using black cardstock, lawn fawn alphas, and a layered diecut from clearly besotted, which I inked in the same distress ink I used on the background of the cards. all the white heat embossed elements were embossed in WOW embossing powder. I also used a little strip of patterned paper, and some fun sequins.

I think they are really pretty, and because I used my Hampton Art Stamp press, it was easy to make this little set. perfect for when you need a quick card (i’m notorious for forgetting birthdays until the last minute!)

I hope you enjoy them!
