Mandala Cards- Simon Says Stamp

I have gained a new stamp recently and am totally loving exploring how many different ways it can be used.

The stamp in question is called ‘center cut burst’ from Simon Says Stamp , which is a gorgeous large background stamp.

This amazing cling mounted rubber stamp features a removable centre ( or center if you are across the pond)

You can use the whole stamp, or just the outside , or even just the centre part for different looks!

So far, I have been enjoying different cards using it – one where I’ve used the outside part

I have also created one where I have used just the inner stamp.

Using just the inside

Using just the inner part of the background stamp to make an A6 greetings card

Making smaller cards is possible too! Here, I stamped the inner removable part of the background twice-

One in opposing corners, stamped off the edge of the card.

When colouring you can pick your favourite colour combos.

At the moment, I’m really digging blues and pinks, with an accent colour of grey.

You can leave it as a one layer card, or matt it and add a sentiment popped up on 3d foam tape like i’ve done here!

The sentiment stamp used is one from the Crafter’s Companion set ‘loving thoughts’

Using just the outside

Using the outside of the SSS center cut burst background stamp and Spectrum Noir markers to create a fun bright card!

This is the second way i’ve used the background, and it looks so different from the first!

Where possible I love the chance to use bright colours, and on this one used green, pink, blue and grey, as a result the colouring really pops!

I used a bright blue card to matt the coloured background, and for one of the diecut circles i used for the middle sentiment

The finished card is 6” square so a big sentiment can be used.

I totally love this one from ‘Script Words’ which is a clear stamp from Crafter’s Companion, and it is the perfect finishing touch.

Both these cards have been coloured using the Spectrum Noir Colour System markers and stamped using Spectrum Noir Inkpads.

for a full list of products used you can see the list at the end of this post!

I am looking forward to showing you more ways of using this stamp, and am planning more projects already!
